Distributed Systems Architect:

MokiNetworks is looking for an ‘architect’ level distributed systems designer. Candidates must have experience with traditional and next generation server architectures. MokiNetworks leverages next generation Cloud Computing Platforms such as Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services for web scale internet applications, and is seeking a talented individual to assist in the design and development of Cloud based computing solutions that leverage next generation cloud technologies such as distributed database systems and shared computing environments. A minimum of 5 years experience developing and or designing web applications at scale required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of server software development
  • Mastery of Java Programming Language
  • Experience with Linux and Apache
  • Proficiency with data modeling and RBMS
  • Experience with Server Application Architecture

Optional Skills:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Object Persistence Models
  • Experience with distributed database technologies (MongoDB, Memcached, or other distributed object storage systems)
  • Experience with GAE or Amazon Web Services
  • Understanding and experience creating administrative applications and security

Senior Server Developer:

MokiNetworks is looking for a senior level software developer to work on internet based applications for cloud computing environments. MokiNetworks leverages next generation Cloud Computing Platforms such as Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services for web scale internet applications, and is seeking a talented individual to assist in the design and development of Cloud based computing solutions that leverage next generation cloud technologies such as distributed database systems and shared computing environments. A minimum of 3 years experience developing and or designing web applications at scale required.

Mobile Application Developer

MokiNetworks is looking for a mobile application developer. We are building state of the art cloud enabled, mobile applications for an exciting list of clients. We need a developer who knows either Java or Objective C and wants to learn the other. You will bounce between iOS and Android development and learn to master both. We are a group of really awesome developers who can build anything and we are growing that team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms
  • Implement provided designs
  • Integrate mobile applications with cloud platforms using a variety of protocols
  • Juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with designers, back-end developers, and project management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or relevant experience and be currently pursuing a degree)
  • Experience with either Java or Objective C
  • Expertise in object oriented application design
  • Independent thinker, with creative problem solving abilities

Nice to have:

  • Extra consideration given for having previously published an application to either iTunes or Android stores
  • Photoshop skills
